Be humble in your dance and reflect that in your life. Arrogance is not a cute look. And humbleness is much prettier.

Halau Policies
Kumu's blessings
If you are asked to perform outside of halau events you must seek blessing first. We want to make sure you present well and properly adorned in the correct costuming per dance. You wouldn't want to be caught in a hula costume dancing a tahitian piece. It's a poor reflection on halau.
If you are seeking outside training from other dancers/teachers you need the blessing from Kumu. Otherwise there will be an issue on who you represent.
You must also under no circumstances communicate with a judge for advice for an upcoming competition. Your communication could jeopardize halau.
If you move away and are switching to another group you will need blessings from both kumu. It's just pono and is a necessity on all parties.
Halau Gear
Hula Class- Halau Shirt, Pa'u skirt, Pua in hair.
Tahitian Class- Kinderhula white pareo, Keiki grey, Vahine Black. Halau Shirt or Tank. Pua in hair.
